Automechanika Birmingham is taking place between the 6th and 8th of June 2017 at the NEC. This year’s show will be 70% bigger than last year, following on from the great debut success of the event.

With over 800 companies exhibiting their products, including 250 brand new ones, there will be plenty for visitors to see. In addition there is a full programme of over 60 seminars covering everything from electric battery technology to supply chain logistics. All of them are being delivered by experts from their respective fields.

The motor trade in the UK is currently thriving with a parts aftermarket that is the fourth largest in Europe. In total the market is valued at over £21.1 billion and is responsible for supporting 346,500 motor trade jobs. The Automechanika Birmingham show is a great celebration of this, allowing businesses large and small to showcase what they do. It also celebrates the key role the city itself plays in the market.

The most exciting part of the event is the new product launches. Many businesses have chosen to reveal their newest ranges and the products they have in development. This gives visitors a great insight into not only where technology is, but also where it is heading.

When the event opens in June it will become the largest one in the UK focused on the aftermarket parts. In 2016 over 12,000 visitors stepped through the doors of the NEC and visited the exhibition halls. With a larger programme and more exhibitors the number could be shattered with ease this summer.

If you would like to find out more about the event you can visit the Automechanika Birmingham website. It has the full list of exhibitors, easily broken down by vehicle category and exhibitor category. In addition the list of seminars will ensure you don’t miss out on anything.

The success of the event could help to stimulate the automotive parts market, resulting in the creation of even more motor trade jobs in the UK.
