There are a number of different strategies that can be employed to fill automotive jobs. The option a business chooses should be down to their specific needs, including the timeframe they have to work with and their budget.
At John Gibson Associates we can provide recruitment services for businesses of all shapes and sizes, from niche specialists to the largest national and multinational companies. Our track record is excellent and we have helped numerous clients to successfully select candidates for a diverse array of roles.
The recent results of a poll by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and Hays found that the more and more businesses are looking closer at developing in-house talent. Of the 1,000 HR professionals asked 56% reported they plan to reduce their reliance on recruiters in 2017. This is up from 45% in 2016.
The poll revealed that 75% of HR professionals were planning to look in-house. This is up from 48% in 2016. Additionally, 60% are planning to focus more on retention rather than recruiting, a rise from 37%. This shows a reduction in the amount of work that is expected to be done with third parties.
Looking in-house and focusing on retention are both strategies that a number of businesses are employing to help them address skills shortages. With over six in ten employers expecting further difficulty recruiting senior and skilled professionals, the above options are becoming more popular.
Although you may expect us to be worried about the results of the poll we are surprisingly optimistic. After-all we have built a strong reputation as a dedicated recruiter for automotive jobs, offering a wealth of knowledge that other companies cannot come close to matching. Our services also deliver excellent results, including cost and time savings.
